Beverley has owned, loved and cared for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for 10 years, and adores everything about the breed.
As with most breeds, Cavaliers have their known health issues. So, when Beverley decided to breed from her first pet girl, her foremost thoughts were to complete the relevant health testing required to give her pups the best start in life.
In experiencing and researching the breeding process she became aware of the more undesirable breeding practices out there and how difficult it is for potential puppy buyers to find and to trust the right breeder. This led her to become a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder scheme and also to obtain a dog breeding licence under the Animal Welfare Act passed in October 2018 where she has been awarded a 3 year 5 star licence.
Beverley’s dogs are her passion, a huge part of her family, and that their welfare is of the utmost importance. She feels that if like-minded breeders can work together to share their knowledge and experiences with others, this will ultimately improve dog breeding practices in this country, and so she welcome the opportunity to support the HBA.
